Darwyn Coxson is a Professor in the Ecosystem Darwyn-portrait-w.jpgScience and Management Program at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC). Dr. Coxson was one of the founding faculty members at UNBC, and has been a past member of both the Senate and Board of Governors at UNBC.

Dr. Coxson’s research in plant ecology looks at plant environmental physiology, examining the contribution of plant communities to ecosystem function. A major area of specialization focuses on non-vascular plants such as lichens and mosses.

Teaching at UNBC by Dr. Coxson include the Lichens and Fungi course (Biology 318), Systematic Botany (Biology 301), and Plant Ecology (Biology 404). The Systematic Botany course is taught in alternate years in a field camp format at Terrace, BC.
